UPMC Jameson School of Nursing Scholarships

Offering support to nurses-in-training at the Jameson School of Nursing in New Castle, these scholarships invest in the future of healthcare in our region.

About the School of Nursing

The UPMC Jameson School of Nursing, located in New Castle, Pennsylvania, has a rich history of educating and preparing exceptional future nurses. Originally established in 1895 as the Shenango Valley Training School, the School later affiliated with Jameson Memorial Hospital (now UPMC Jameson). Over its lifetime, the School has seen more than 2,500 nurses graduate.

The School of Nursing now operates as part of the UPMC Schools of Nursing, offering a curriculum of 69 credits (48 nursing and 21 general education credit hours), offered over four semesters. Students combine classroom learning with clinical experience, receiving a well-rounded education that prepares them to take on challenging roles immediately upon graduation.

I am so happy I picked to continue my education at Jameson.

Investing in the Future

The UPMC Jameson and Horizon Foundations provide support for students at the School through scholarship aid made possible by donations. Scholarships are provided through the Foundations’ Scholarship Fund, or through donor-named scholarships established at the Foundation. Scholarship recipients are selected by a Scholarship Committee made up of School of Nursing faculty, and scholarships are used to offset students’ tuition. All donations made to the Foundations to support School of Nursing scholarships are tax-deductible.
