The UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation and the UPMC Jameson Healthcare Foundation celebrated their 2022 annual Golf Care Classic on June 20th through a day of golfing and socialization on at Avalon Country Club in Mercer County. More than 140 golfers participated in the event either in person or virtually, supported by volunteers from the UPMC Jameson and Horizon hospitals. This year’s Event Sponsor was Rycon Construction, Inc., which generously supported and participated in the event. The Mission and Impact Sponsor was Bruce & Merilees Electric Company. The full sponsor list can  be viewed below. The Foundations thank all of the generous sponsors who participated and invested in local community health through their generosity.

The winning three teams had the opportunity to designate a portion of the events’ proceeds to specific funds at the Foundation. Coming in first-place overall, the team of Dr. Robert Woods, Todd Garrett, Curt Anderson and Joe Schell chose to designate $15,000 to support the Foundations’ oncology patient care funds. In second-place, the team of Tyler Gargano, Rod Wilt, Jonathan Hudson and Zach Lenhart designated $10,000 in funds to the Foundations’ General Fund.
